Andrew has over 20 years of experience in managing student accommodation both in the public sector with Durham University as a College Bursar and Divisional Executive and in the private sector as a Senior Manager with both “Unite” and “Liberty Living”.
He is adept at change management, driving staffing reorganisation in both Durham University and “Unite”, delivering significant economies whilst still retaining award winning standards of customer service. He also currently holds national qualifications in the licensed hospitality trade for both entertainment and on-licenses as well as being fully I.O.S.H. certificated. He is fully conversant in delivering complex multi-track projects and familiar with all current commercial, legislative and financial factors.
Sian has 20 years of student accommodation experience at a senior management level at Northumbria University. In her most recent role as Revenue Manager and Student Accommodation Manager, she was responsible for a £15 million income business including commercial sales function. She has a strong sector profile with professional contacts in higher education institutions, with private providers and suppliers to the industry. In 2016 she stepped down after 8 years on the executive committee of the Association of Student Residential Accommodation (ASRA).
She has had broad success in the student accommodation arena informed by previous experience in hotel sales, marketing and business dvelopment, and seven years as operations manager for an incoming tour operator based in London.
Tyler is a recent Graphic Design graduate, with close links within the student customer market. He has worked for two seasons within Northumbria University's student accommodation team as an administration assistant, working on the allocation of students to accommodation buildings. He now currently works in house for student accommodation in the private sector, and deals with student issues on a daily basis. Across this experience he has developed a strong interest and understanding of the student accommodation business, from both the business perspective and also the customer perspective as a recent graduate.
Being part of the target market for student business makes him a useful resource in touch with relevant connections, and has a good understanding of successful communication to the customer.
